Introducing an innovative multicultural emoji/sticker pack- the “I am Beautiful” Beautymoji

November 7, 2016 by Valarie Budayr

Thanks to our MCBD Facebook Group, I crossed paths with wonderful author named, Simone Da Costa. Simone’s book, I am Beautiful: When I Look at Me, I See … , is an inspirational book, created for middle school aged Black girls, aims to empower and liberate them to believe that they are beautiful, despite society’s notion of what “beauty” is.

In an era where the popular idealistic images of beauty are based on the western world’s realism of beauty, it illustrates that beauty begins with knowing who you are, believing it, and accepting yourself as you are.

But her book was only ONE THING that caught our eye. This forward-thinking and passionate author came up with yet another bonus.

Since it’s inception, “I am Beautiful: When I Look at Me, I See…” children’s book has received great reception and has become a best-seller and is still selling out in stores. From the great success of the book, a multicultural emoji/sticker pack called “I am Beautiful” (Beautymoji) was birthed , and support of diversity the emoji/sticker collection aim to inspire, uplift, encourage and empower young girls and females alike to embrace their “Beauty” our “Beauty” and “uniqueness.”

The first set of emoji/stickers that has been released is of the book’s main character (Naomi); and just like the book the emojis/stickers will exhibit Naomi’s lovely characteristics while at the same time showcasing positive affirmations.”
