Multicultural Children’s Book Day is a non-profit that is funded through the generous donations of supporters or via funds raised before and during our annual event. Funds that are raised year around go towards our continuing initiative to get multicultural children’s books into the hands of under-served children and also into classrooms and libraries.
Would you like to show your support of diversity in children’s literature? Here are a few ways you can help:
Be a Friends of MCCBD supporter and give a Twitter shout-out to recognize to your two favorite diversity authors or illustrators. You don’t have to be an author or illustrator to participate.
It works like this:
The Friends of MCCBD $25 Shout Out and Recognition of Author Friends
Gift a shout-out to two author friends who have books with diversity themes. MCCBD will not only acknowledge your shout-out on Twitter, we will name you as the gift-giver.

Does the idea of supporting MCCBD’s efforts to get books into the hands of children’s sound wonderful, but you want to help just for the sake of helping? We have an option for you as well!
Your $25 donation will go towards getting quality multicultural books into the hands of young readers via donation, giveaways and events. More money means more books, and more chances for young readers to “see themselves” in the pages of the books they love. Go here to donate or click the PayPal Button below:
